Blue Water Island Dubai, one of the most up and coming destinations in Dubai just added another feather in its already decorated hat – The Ain Dubai.
In November 2018, Meraas opened doors to the Blue Water Island Dubai, and it has since been buzzing with all the attractions it is housing. This island is only a walking distance as one follows a bridge from The Beach on JBR. The most dominant feature of the Blue Water Island Dubai is in fact, the Ain Dubai- the world’s biggest Ferris wheel!

If it’s Dubai, it’s all about breaking and setting new world records! Where epitome of luxury cannot be comprimized.. Here is an enchanting glimpse of the Ain Dubai, by @steviekahn . Ain Dubai is set to be the Earth’s largest ferris wheel, standing tall and gracious at a massive 210 metres on the @dubaibluewatersisland , neighbouring the @caesarsbluewatersdubai . Astonish yourself with details on this beauty with our blog- epitomedubai.com/ain-dubai/ #aindubai #ain #dubai #bluewatersdubai #bluewatersisland #bluewatershoppingcentre #ceaserspalacedubai #caesarspalace #ferriswheel #ferriswheels #steviewonder #colors #colorful #photography #photographersofinstagram #dubaiblogger #bloggersofdubai #dxb #observationpoint #observationwheel #dubaiattractions #ontopoftheworld #streetphotography #cityscape #thebridge #jbr #jbrbeach #liveindubai #dubailifestyle #ilovedubai
The developers have hinted that Ain Dubai will be a colossal 210 meters tall – which is close to 40 meters higher than the current record holder, LA’s High Roller. Gearing up to be open to the public in 2020, the Ain Dubai by Meraas will comprise of 48 capsules, each having a capacity of 40 people. Since you’re in Dubai, luxury comes second to none, as each glass-enclosed pod comes equipped with LED screens that give you more information about what to do next at Blue Water Island Dubai. The glass adds to a 360-degree viewing experience, as the height of the Ain Dubai makes every wonder in Dubai visible to you – from The Burj Khalifa to the magnificent Palm Jumeirah.
There is just something about Ferris wheels – a sense of wonder and magic, all enamoring you in an experience that is over all too soon, and makes you want to take another ride. As Ferris wheels go, they are an experience only further enhanced by what you see from the top, and at Blue Water Island Dubai , there is no dearth of a stunning skyline and lights that will make one go ‘WOW’. Beyond the view, the Ain Dubai by Meraas also boasts of ‘VIP’ Capsules for an even richer experience. These can accommodate only 12 people at once and will come with private bars, luxurious dining, and some recreational facilities. There are also talks of an LED screen being mounted on the Ain Dubai by Meraas , for advertising purposes.
What’s even more interesting is that while walking up to the Ain Dubai, you cross Caesars Palace, the stunning property that played inspiration to studio designers for ‘The Hangover’. This is the second branch of Caesars ever.
The first is in Las Vegas, and has played host to iconic performers like Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. The Bluewater project doesn’t just play home to Caesars and their associated properties, infact it will be rolling out over 100 eating joints and luxury as well as retail store outlets over the coming few months.
The developers have licensed a couple of dozen restaurants to be opened shortly at some distance from the beach flanked by the expansive Arabian Gulf. For the adventure junkies, Blue Water Island Dubai also features the World’s highest rope climbing platform, at the Ain Dubai by Meraas, which is 150 meters high!
Set against the backdrop of the Ain Dubai by Meraas, a lifestyle retail area, called ‘The Wharf’, will have a beautiful view of the JBR skyline. In December last year, the Wharf was transformed into ‘Santa’s Secret Island’, a take on the Winter Wonderland for kids and adults alike. The major attractions included a freeze wall, to capture loved ones in frozen poses, and a majestic 12 meters high Christmas tree. That also means an uninterrupted viewing of the evening fireworks at JBR! While on the topic of retail, your high street brands such as Typo, Superdry and then even the high-end brands like Gucci will officially be opening their stores here.
The list of attractions only expands with the Madame Tussauds Dubai being right next to the Ain Dubai by Meraas. What’s, even more, is that at the foot of the Ferris wheel, there is planned to be a souk, something you may recognize quicker than others if you’ve seen the girls shopping in the Sex and The City movie 😉 . This will be a traditional shopping experience that captures the spirit of Dubai.
Bluewaters Island also represents an amalgamation of the urban with the serene.
It blends the calming views of the deep blue sea, with the touch of modernity. Its official opening adds to the ‘island living’ lifestyle that Dubai has ventured into. The Island houses 698 apartments, four penthouses and 17 townhouses that offer unique sea views and a closer look on Ain Dubai by Meraas. A lot of the properties have already been sold, and others have prospective buyers lined up. Since Bluewaters is now directly accessible from Sheikh Zayed Road, it scores a perfect 10 on connectivity as well. With hi-tech water taxis, arguably the best roadways and waterways interconnectivity, and major tourist attractions, the destination is truly up and coming in terms of real estate investment, and is being touted as one of the most vibrant communities the Dubai has housed, yet.
The Island gives you a sense of having left the world behind, while still very much being a part of it, just like the Ain Dubai gives you the experience of being in the most happening locale, and yet, finding a peaceful nook that is (only about) 210 meters above sea level!
